It has focused on modifying its present look to match the mobile site with its other applications It basically means that the mobile version will now look similar to the desktop version. Recently in a survey it is found that more than 75 percent of the site’s usage comes through mobile applications.
Software engineer Tracy Chou in a blog post said “We want to make it easy for everyone to access Pinterest—no matter where you are or what device you’re using. Now when you visit pinterest.com on mobile, you’ll see the latest version of Pinterest, with a cleaner design and the same features (like more useful pins and related pins) you’d get on the Web or our mobile app.”
Pinterest's virtual image-sharing magic went a high internationally. Last year, in a survey it was revealed that 45 percent of all of new sign ups came from countries other than the U.S.
Social media research company Semiocast predicted that “In June 2013, 55 percent of new Pinterest users come from the U.S., and at the current rate, in spite of the massive weight of the U.S. in the total user-base, international users might overcome U.S. users within 18 months."
Other than English, the site is also available in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Dutch and German. So it is clear that Pinterest has been planning this since long to get it popular worldwide.
