HP Launches Slate 6 VivoTab & Slate 7 VivoTab Phablets

HP Slate 6 VivoTab and Slate 7 VivoTab which come with 6-inch and 7-inch displays respectively with quad-core processor, will run the Android 4.2 (JellyBean).  It’s still not confirmed that which SoC is powering the phablets, but both of them will come with 16GB of storage, extendable upto 32GB via microSD card which is fair enough accroding to present market scenario.

HP almost stopped the smartphone production back in 2011 after selling the webOS division, and there after we didn't find HP in tablet market. Ron Coughlin, VP for the consumer PC business told that the company has selected India rather than North America or Europe to debut the devices. The reason behind it regarding the preference is simple, India has the most growing market for smart phones and smart devices.

No need to mention that nowadays phablets have been gradually becoming popular, specially in Asian countries and mainly in India. Some brands like Samsung and Lenovo have been in making and introducing the tablets with 3G Voice calling facility to facilitates the growing demand for such devices. It appears now that HP is doing some experiement, even though Lenovo has already into this market from quite soemtime.

Now lets us look into the main specs that HP Slate has. Amazing display on Slate 6 is 1280 x 720px, while it is 1280 x 800px on the Slate 7. With IPS display and front-facing stereo speakers made this device up to the standards of tablets recently available in the market. For video chatting and taking picture both are having  2 megapixel front-facing camera and 5 megapixel rear camera with flash. HP India is yet to disclose the prices for the devices. Hope it will definitely come with affordable price with great featured phablet.
